The Executive Director Mr. Mohammed Al-Lai has participated in the conference held in Halab (23-25 January 2009). The topic was on the banking sector role in financing the SMEs, in which he highlighted Al-Amal Microfinance Experience in this area.
The presented paper illustrated the Yemeni Financial System, the Microfinance environment, and the support provided to the Microfinance by the Yemeni Government; started with approving the National Microfinance Strategy. An outline of the strategic plan of Al-Amal Bank as well as the latest indicators were presented.
