A delegation from the Islamic Development Bank visited Al-Amal Microfinance bank the delegation was headed by Dr. Osman Mahjoub Division Chief of the poverty Reduction program. They had a presentation on the experience of the Al-Amal Microfinance Bank in providing financial services to Microentrepreneurs and discussed the possible venues of cooperation between Al-Amal Microfinance bank and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
At the beginning of the meeting, D. Othman introduced services and objectives of the IDB in alleviating poverty, creating jobs and pointed out that the aim of the visit was to look at possibility a partnership between the two banks and the support that could be provided by IDB to Al-Amal Microfinance bank .
After, that they had a briefing on Al-Amal bank objectives and a detailed explanation of the Bank's strategic indicators for the coming five years (2009-2013) as well as the pilot phase productivity which was initiated on the 5th of October 2008 . the delegation at the end toured Al –Amal head quarter, and first branch premises.
